#2 You're wrong then why does a grenade explode, since is sealed? the principle is quite simple
#1 It would make BOOM
Phosphorus is explosive somehow, if you put a small amount of it on an anvil, like from a few matches, and hit it with a hammer it will make a really loud boom.

#6 Grenades go boom, just like many other explosives because they have oxidisers mixed in with the explosive compounds. It's these chemicals that provide the oxygen needed for the reaction. Here, the contents of a sealed drum would not burn very much as there wouldn't be much O2 available. Now if you threw in compressed O2 or some oxidiser chemical in the drum as well... that would be a different story.

Depends on what kind of match , safety matches burn much slower but they still work for rockets and match bombs like this one , also do not try this as its very very stupid people , unless you know what you are doing.
#9 Matches contain potassium chlorate which is an oxidiser.
Also if you need proof they "explode" in confinement try this simple one.

Could have mentioned mythbusters in the tagline, I wouldn't have wasted my time. Oh well, off to rescue a kitten.
