It runs on a petrol engine or what? What a noise man! Can it carry load? or is it all electronics and stuff?

The fail is a bit scary. Never would walk behind it walking uphil. I bet you are crushed when it falls on top of you!

I like the concept, carries the backpacks of other people, or other stuff.
But it really needs to have bigger legs and to be faster. Watching it walk on soft surfaces, it looked like an overweight cow trying to do parkour.

No sneaking up behind enemy lines for sure but seems pretty well suited for carrying heavy loads through rough terrain.

2011 - "building the robot will take 30 months and cost US $32 million."
A retarded 3 legged horse can outperform this for a handful of grass.

Its the space pen all over, just use a pencil or in this case a donkey, horse, mule. Food is all around you and free in most cases.

I'd like to see you train a donkey to report back what it sees, crawl into collapsed buildings and send back images of the damage/injury. Also equip it with night vision, thermal, and whatnot. Not to mention the actual person that would need to guide it.

This robot is an early stage prototype, which is not intended to be used for anything else than the research purpose. The goal in the future is to have smaller, stronger, longer lasting, and more "educated" units to perform various tasks at any given environment.
