Dont get me wrong, that is great what they are doing, however the improvement process is just common sense, not some ultra complicated Japanese-word-using thing o.O

#2 Sure when you see the simple changes it seems like common sense..but if youre not that much into logistics or optimizing and you got a first system running its sometimes hard to see the simple small changes that improve your system so much. And their system was just patched together by the helping volunteers..not a years old company with experience how to deliver disaster areas. Respect to the workers and the optimizers =)

#2 - I am sure the rest of the world would have caught up on the concept, but it took Toyota to "market" the concept of efficiency at the workplace.
