Nice to see actual people having a job working the train doors, instead of machines or nothing at all.

God, why again is this preferable to cars and traffic jams? Oh that's right because Obama/Gore et al wouldn't be caught dead riding public transportation in conditions like this. I'd much rather sit solo in my LA traffic than be squeezed into a boxcar with a bunch of sweaty smelly people, then when it's time to depart the idiots coming on stampede you so you cannot get off the flippin train (btw it's pretty damn funny when you're watching it). Not to mention my wife or daughter probably getting groped the whole trip.

... going to work every day and spending at least more than a hour to wait for your train... (and then one hour in your train)

#4 "I'd much rather sit solo in my LA traffic than be squeezed into a boxcar with a bunch of sweaty smelly people..."

So perhaps a bit of gratitude for having the dumb luck to be born into a society where you have the privilege of that choice.

I am living in a country with one of the lowest human densities 30people/m2. I would go nuts there.

#11 That's nothing mate, in Finland we got 16/km². In fact 30/m² is quite a lot. Maybe I shouldn't brag about it while Australia has the density of 3/km²

Clearly the Japanese are a lot more civilized in their approach:

- First of all, they're experts at letting people LEAVE the train before they start entering it.
- Second, even the most crowded lines are run at good efficiency so there aren't 600 people waiting on the platform - that would definitely be futile, as this video proves.
- Third, they have those famous "people pushers" (although they're really only used on a single line, a single station, and only during peak rush hour): https://youtu.be/E7kor5nHtZQ
