no he is not and we all know it.
i wonder if he chose to fight because finally he gets recognition?
that would be terrible, even if it felt good to him.

I say props to this kid! Faced with such adversity and yet not letting that stop him from reaching for his dreams. I've known plenty of people that have faltered and retreated from much lesser challenges. I really like how it seemed to make him accept himself for who he is and what he has, and the positive way he chose to channel it through teaching children and others with downs syndrome.

Much respect, even though it did make me cringe to see him getting thumped on. Despite his condition, he is still human, still a man, and most importantly, still an individual. His thoughts and feelings are valid, and his dreams are his own to pursue. He should be treated no differently just because of the cards life has dealt him. Nothing but respect and admiration for em.

OK he's got a problem, but at least he's not black or queer.

Tons of respect for the kid, but none for his parents and whoever else took part in this charade.

I find it pathetic that there are still people in the world who think they have the right to control someone's life and dreams and wishes just because they consider them too disabled to think for themselves.

I am proud of every last individual who was involved in this inspiring man's life and all who helped him to realize his dream. His life and self-perception and even perception of others has improved and I find it contemptible that there is single person on the planet that would take that from him because they think he's too disabled.

To hell with your discriminatory bullshit.
