Super hydrophobic surfaces are awesome, but I'm concerned that it defeats the softness of the surface. Would the surface still feel fuzzy, or does it feel more plasticky? And do body oils still seep into the surface? Cause in that case this feature is useless for the carpet.

These surfaces are based on the Lotus effect where millions of tiny strings / hairs cause a contact angle of 150 degree's or higher for water drops.
