#2, Kyocera has always been known for their ceramics, long time before going into the copier business.
Previous name of Kyocera was Kyoto Ceramic Co. Ltd.

#5 Most people don't realize Coors (the crappy beer maker) has also been making ceramics for over 100 years. When I was in my early teens my father gave me a ceramic hammer made by Coors. I used to take it down to a creek and smash rocks with it!

Now I'm waiting for ceramic razor blades, kamisori style razors, even ceramic razor blades for DE shavers and injection blades from Kyocera.
