Whats the point of this if they gonna replace it with robots in a couple years time.

But could have other applications.

The level of total uselessness is overwhelming! No brain needed whatsoever. Gives me the goosebumps. :S

Just another device to reduce the need to talk to anyone. And warehouses like this are already completely run by robots in some places so what's the point? :S

At least nothing would get lost this way. Heh.. couriers. Had one of my friends working in one of them 2 summers ago. (as a supervisor in DPD [~EU only]) And he shattered my perceptions of how things are going on around there :D

Ok. SO you know why things get lost when you send tings with couriers (so some maybe Not a surprise). So you get a truck coming in the depot - alright time to unload. :D
These guysss who refer to one another in nick names slack up with their buggy and ok :D
Imagine the big box with the LCD on the top of a box mountain - well - if you take out the bottom box it'll slide itself into the cart. That's one.
Ok. - phone boxes - that's basketball. :D
Seriously and Literally.
If they'd have more brain - and in some places they do - they get around the supervisory security and just pick and take what they want from what got send in their depot :D
Ever thought how silkroad operates - I bet that exactly like that.
Food fo thought.

Gets me thinking that is some countries in some depots for some couriers, depending on their supervisory, middle and higher manager corruption level -- they would be reluctant to implement such a system.

But yeh.. Fucking cool! (about the vid)

This would work in a perfect world. Unfortunately it's probably going to be mostly used for Facebook/Youtube/Mail while working >:)
