Why was his Altitude still 4470 when he landed ????

#3 : it's the QHN altitude, it's the main altitude used in flight, as #4 said it's based on the barometric pression at sea level.
So he opened at 10000ft AMSL (above mean sea level) that's about 5600ft AGL (above ground level).
