How is it that humanity has become so brilliant in many ways... yet we are still obese, we smoke, burn fossil fuels, dispose chemical waste into the atmosphere, kill each other over religion and other bullshit, use dangerous outdated nuclear technology from the 70s instead of developing smarter and more efficient low-risk reactors not including side products for military purpose, and are just generally dumb and shortsighted all over the place...

I’d like to share a revelation that I’ve had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you aren’t actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with its surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed, and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area.
