When I was a kid back in the 1960's, there was this tiny hat at the center of the birthday table vomiting some kind of serpent when lit up.

Looking at that article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury%28II%29_thiocyanate , I understand why we don't see that anymore in homes.
