The exercises at the end of each chapter of the C language book showed in this video are the hardest I have ever done. And I just went as far as chapter 3 I think.

Extremely interesting. Didn't understand a word of it but carried along with the enthusiasm of the speaker. I thought the bromide was what they gave soldiers in the war to stop them thinking about sex! :S

This is pure UNIX Geek material. I've rarely used troff or pic; mainly to render UNIX manual pages. I've been bred on the next-generation typesetter called TeX by Don Knuth.
But these guys really were the original hackers!
