I'm sorry, but if a guy who couldn't even read his acceptance letter can get into a college that I couldn't, it doesn't make me feel very good about my education or the education system in general. No wonder more and more people say a college education is useless.
Now comes all the "thumbs down" votes.

#4.. Really? You probably could have gotten into their program for students with intellectual disabilities had your application reflected your intellect as thoroughly as your comment did. The ignorant never cease to astound me.

#4 Jesus. It's Clemson, and it's a program for people with disabilities.

This kid has accomplished more than most, probably on his own merit, regardless of whether the degree takes him anywhere.

Have a heart man.

#4 You just proved the conclusion that a research physiologist made, most American college students are deluded narcissists.

#4 Here is a comment from the mother:

Thanks for the encouragement. A little explanation for those who find this perplexing....Rion was accepted into a special program called Clemson LIFE. This is an amazing two year program for a small number (15) of young adults with special needs. This isn't a program in which one can earn a degree. Right now, Clemson is one of five universities in SC with a LIFE program. I love that kids like Rion get to experience college life and this type of independence. Proud of my alma mater!?

And people wonder why they are in debt for 20-30 years after graduation.......
