Well I had exactly the same problem. I opened the MW, decided not to cut the beeper completely but used some sort of tape or something instead to wrap it around. Helped a little bit... The other feature to get it running was presssing "TIME COOK", then "3", "0", "0", and then pressing "START". Each of them followed by sifinicant BEEEP. On my new fancy second hand Sencor MW I just press a button once for further 30 seconds and the "done" been is qite acceptable. So choose your MW wisely, you're gonna live with it ;).

That they beep at all is a very useless and annoying thing. They should only beep when the time runs out (to remind you if you are not there). But the buttons shouldn't beep. I hate waking up the entire house when I want warm milk late at night.

I like that he has a clock on top of the microwave, so he can tell what time it is while it is cooking food. :)
