i work in a steel plant in the us at the melt shop which this is a ladle can hold up to 25 tons of liquid steel or more they are enormous the process of melting the steel is done with gigantic carbon rods and electricity unfortunately when you have an accident it is also very big also after watching the video it is apparent that the closing mechanism on the ladle did not work in addition not much damage was done as most melt shops have sand or dirt floors once the metal cools it can be broken up but not re-melted
