as a graduate from University of killjoy I am obligated to comment that while it is very VERY cool, I don't see any practical uses for it.

That's like saying "as a christian" to imply moral highground. Being a graduate from a random university doesn't really give you any standing. Just like being a member of mensa doesn't either. (Name me one member of mensa that has done anything useful.) You need to expand your mind, seek creativity. Think about areas where we might need levitation, e.g. where we today use magnetism, but is for some reason limiting us. Or what about ways of levitating nonemetals?. (What about fusion?). As an internet browser, i see countless applications.
