Emiel chose for euthanasia 2 weeks ago because he couldn't run anymore.
He gave a big party for everyone he knew just before.

#1 Because he couldn't run anymore? The article you linked says he had cancer, and he chose to end his life before it took hold of him. Kind of a big jump from cancer to wanting to die because he couldn't run.

They could both run faster than me ( my knees are shot ). Sad to hear that
Emiel had passed away, but at the same time I'm glad he didn't have to go through what my Father did when he had cancer.
