Handicap International against antipersonal mines
It shocked me as a kid and still continues. It was cancelled after the first airing.

whichever country planted the mines in a war/conflict should be forced to remove ALL mines afterwards...
Disgusting invention...

#2 In 9 out of 10 cases the country that plants the mines is the country the mines are planted in. Because land mines are area-denial weapons, designed to be used against invading forces.

The mines are not anti-personal, they are very personal, the correct term is anti-personnel, and there is no way to ban them as long as there are still wars, and there will always be wars as long as there are privately owned central banks raking in insane amounts of cash from wars. Sorry if it depresses you, but it's the reality of the world we live in.

It's a bit of an impasse... One solution is you can consider anti-personnel(thx #5) as you consider bio/chemical weapons. So if someone produce/distribuite everyone should bomb the shit out of them.
But... then you make big wars to stop using a weapons in particular..
Were maybe you use depleted uranium, white phoshoros ecc..
And also then you have to bomb my country, italy.. i heard we produce lots of them :/

#2 furthermore often the country that plants the mines is non-existent after the war - at least the government responsible for planting them.
But I agree that we as a whole (UN?) should be responsible for
a) stopping the fuckin´ production of those
b) should make a BIG effort to remove them from the face of the earth.
