So folding metal was invented to make a blade flexible and hard... Does twisting 2 metals have the same effect?

I don't think it's truly "damascus steel" considering that no one really knows how it was originally made.

Fun fact: Damascus steel was probably mans first ever use of carbon nanotubes, long before anyone knew what a nanotube was. :D

#10 While there are several ways to get one started (apprenticeship, reading about the process, imagination, etc) the most challenging and important thing is to practice, practice, practice, practice and practice... Trust me, this is not by far the first blade this person has made... =P
