It takes them 9 hours, that's pretty long for insects.

Don't they use ants and similar insects to clean skeletons for museums and stuff?
Picture of sleepy4 achievements

0 24. sleepy commented 16 years ago

maybe they do.. unless the ants decide to move the whole thing to their nest :P
maybe the ants will make bone spears for fighting out of the gecko.!!! I'm sure they will. :O

Naturally (Not all but some)insects are for getting rid of dead bodies of humans and animals. I personally say its how things work usually. Unless you know... You put them in a box(For maybe a cat)or a coffin(For a human)but other then that its just natural. Also, I personally think burning someone to ashes is stupid and sick. Unless the person wants to then its their choice but still quite stupid and sick.

At #25, why judge people's choices? Imagine if all people would get buried instead of cremated, graveyards would be getting bigger and bigger...
Whatever people feel comfortable with, they don't hurt you personally by doing so, do they?

About the vid, I gotta be honest, I never knew ants did this sort of thing...
I knew there was some insects that did, but ants?? Nope :)

This is why you're buried in a secure wooden box, a whole six feet under. Worms, ants or animals can't get to you there. You dig up a coffin after a month, & you'll see the body has dried up, not decomposed.
