The only downside to this concept is the photobleaching that occurs with continuous exposure to light. The better alternative is to produce algae at industrial scale in open ponds under sunlight to produce biofuels and aquaculture feed.

Hmm... what about the trees.. as it is now, 2500 chemical combinations has to hit a leaf before 1 co2 hit the leaf and produce oxygen....

By the way, even Green Peace has submitted a paper stating that co2 isn't a polutant!

has anybody noticed that the "warming of earth" only comes from measures comming from the edges of land next to sea? you'll se that in the middle of land, the graphs are neither climbing or decending.. they are straight.

Read for yourself!

I support putting a bunch of Algae Lamps in every city. I also support commercialized Hemp since the logging industry is only good for keeping Lumberjacks employed. Don't guilt trip me with your "self-rightous animosity" for not caring about "going green" because Hemp is still under undebatable unconstitutional law. As for Carbon Taxes (which wouldn't interfere with sponsored Nascar that get under 5mpg) I MAY consider paying the tax if ALL motorsports are modified/banned & 18-wheelers are converted to bio-diesel then everybody would know how important it is to "go green" but in until then there is no chance in hell you can convince me! :)

i´d love to hear how much power this thing uses, and compare it to how much CO2 is produced to make that power.

#8 first question that popped into my head. The fact that this basic topic is not mentioned makes me suspicious.
