I don't think light == heat. heat just means it's inefficient. You can have a dim flame that's very hot or a very bright light that's cold to the touch.

@18, that's not entirely true. When you're speaking of a lightbulb that will generate heat when it's on, it's inefficient. With this the light itself is transferred in to heat. It's like when you use a magnifying glass to burn ants and stuff.

*sigh* Men and our toys..
Kind of like how my processor will quite literally burn burst into flames without its heat sink in under 2 seconds when under full pressure. That is, if I disable the safety mechanisms.
Kinda cool when you think about it, but a bit too expensive to try out.
