-They had public phones you can use with coins on every street corner.
-Movies on tv were without commercial breaks.
-People were still allowed to smoke in trains and aircrafts
-traffic fines could be paid with cash at the scene.

#7 They still have movies without commercial breaks on BBC1 and BBC2. Movies on ITV in the 80's had commercial breaks. The public phones on the street corners were full of piss and usually had a coin jammed in the slot so you couldn't use them. People who didn't smoke used to hate the people on trains and aircrafts that did. Fines could only be paid at the scene if you carried enough cash. All the street robbers carried shotguns to get the cash off the people who carried cash in case they had a fine to pay. Fecking 80's
