Even if it is a small one, people watch TV, and that includes kids, and you know what kids do, they do what they see, so thats good rolemodeling right there.

If you have ever been in a studio you would see how much equipment is suspended from the ceiling. They are diving under the desk so nothing falls on theie heads from above. Smart move.

#1 Good role model? Just like southpark when lava occours "Duck and cover"? I learned to stay in a doorframe as next cover in case of an earthquake. When the ceilling is falling down..a table wont protect you much..more chance to survive in a wall then under a ceilling in the middle of the room, the walls are most likely to stand if a building collapse. But #3 is right in the case of a tv studio..still not the best move..a desk wont protect you from cement blocks falling down.

#4 It is even dangerous to hide under a glass table during an earthquake. Hiding under a table was for attacks during war. where windows tend burst to the inside.

Do you realize it takes time to move your ass in a doorframe? By the time you get there you could be dead. I think you just need to do it with what you have in your direct surroundings. I have a desk here where i know for sure it's gonna hold everything above me if something should colapse.

Hey #4, while I understand that you have been taught to hide in a doorframe, hiding under a sturdy table can and will help.

I mean, if the entire roof falls on you; you're pretty much out of luck either way. But if something heavy falls on your head vs. that same object falling on a table first; your chances of living just went up a whole lot.
