#1. Transistors are all well and good ( where would we be without them!) But they have inherent problems as well, one of which is they also generate noise. Out of curiosity...does anybody know if a tube would would be vulnerable to an EMP burst? I 'think' it would be...but I'm not sure.

My father had a 1960 Kenwood tube amplifyer. Never heard anything since that quite matched the sound.
