Hmmm... I don't get it. They disguise family members so their relatives can't recognize them. And they don't. That is the point of disguise! Hell, some of my friends didn't notice me when they walked past me in a freaking pub and I was waving at them...

I'm with you number two.
Since they can go home and have a warm cooked meal while laughing about this so called test, when actual homeless people a few blocks away are starving to deaths.

What makes me think more is that while they were family member and I assume that they are living in the same city, but they don't even know that they are homeless and it looks as if that there is almost no communication between them. Well, in my country we would be informed if such a thing would happen and everyone would try to help. Or there is something that I miss in this story or they have forgotten to tell the important missing parts of the story.

It is the truth but the reasons aren't quite right. People in the city would try to void eye contact so we don't usually see their faces in the first place. And as for the homeless, even with all the guilt, we would try to avoid any contact at all. That is because we know that we would not be providing much to them in the first place.

Agree, this is stupid and just a way to try to make successful people feel bad. Don't feel bad for working hard and taking care of yourself and your family, but do help IF you want to, out of love not shame.

This would only have worked if one of the passers by had actually recognised their relative.

OMG they didn't notice someone they know in different clothes, wearing make-up, looking the other way...
