#1 Depending on the angle you can be kicked off or sucked in by gravity. Same as entering a planet..wrong angle and you dont get into orbit but get kicked off. Its used in space programs too called gravity assist. For detailed info maybe read a book or wiki it =)
Maybe that wil help http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravity_assist
Basically it sucked the rock in..turned one orbit and then slingshot it away. Right time right place and the mars catched it.
But thats too much info for that short video. And maybe im totally wrong..played too much Kerbal Space Program

#2 My poor Kerbals ended up at the north pole instead of the Moon, with the Moon calling out to them from the horizon :'(

Little point in trying to inhabit mars then if in a couple of hundred million years it's going to be uninhabitable >:) Mind you Humans will by then have evolved into slimy blobs of plop with two fingers to text with Or Teenagers as we currently call them >:) >:)

#3 aww..poor jebedhia. Well it took me ages to even get a circular orbit. Right now im sending a probe to eve and a manned craft to duna. First modules for a space station are already in orbit..next step is rendevous to dock additional parts..mainly to fill up fuel for extended missions..and to rescue jeb from duna. Damn that game is good.
