Wow. With precision like this, it's amazing that the Nazis were able to just waltz right in and take over Norway in 1940....

I never got this part of the modern military. I get that formation and synchronized communication was critical in historic battles with several armies clashing at the same time - it's 2014 though. We have super-sonic jets, smart bombs, heat-seeking missiles, automatic high frequency machine guns. At this point, all this is, is just semi-retarded ballet for dudes with a buzz-cut juggling ancient guns.

#6 I wanted to ask the same thing. In every army there is something similar like this. Maybe just tradition? I don't know what the point of all this is, but still very impressive.

#6 You don't get paid to think in the army. Unless you're an engineer :)

#4 Well, Norway didn't have much of a standing army at the time, as the Goverment had reduced its size over the years. Besides, Norway was the most occupied country in the world during WW2, with 1 German soldier for every 8 Norwegians..(i) Imagine if USA was occupied by 40 million enemy troops today..

#12 That could not happen because there are over 150 million armed citizens in the US, many
hundreds of thousands of them crack shots at long distance for hunting.

a few minutes of glory to perform superbly...the sacrifice and time it took to perfect that is im wowed...:)
its never about shooting or war..its a practice on teamwork, dedication and a whole lot of things...its in the process that molds them, not the results..the results will come...you have to forge, hammer and sand metal to make it into a fine strong knife...others just want the imitation quick cheap knife that may be effective but chips and dulls quickly in the battlefield...
