Black Racer snake having a seizure
Since snakes require outside heat to thermoregulate its body temp, when it hits the concrete that has been heated so hot by the sun the snakes body temp rises extremely quickly causing it to "seize" and die

#2 Nature puts rocks in deserts wich also get hot. I wonder the same thing like #4 ..should'nt the snake sensor the hot asphalt way before it even touches it? As far as i know, snakes cant handle sunlight/heat pretty well, so they hide in the shadow during the day.
Sure its sad that it died by a man made object..but it could also flee in the other direction and might then had been eaten by whatever predator there might be.
And about the cameraman beeing a dick for not saving..i agree with #5. I wouldnt helped either (Not that i dont like animals(snakes))..i dont know if the snake is venomous and if not for the video description, i wouldnt know whats up with the snake. I would rather run then help.

I've seen this video posted around. There are lots of theories as to what is happening to it. The thermal overload theory is as plausible as any other I guess. I've seen everything from nerve disease, hit buy a car, bitten by a bug, or sprayed with a chemical just prior to filming. Someone even pointed out you can hear a "paint can" rattle on the audio. Whatever happen, it looked painful and unexpected.

#13 Take a wild guess how many people know what snake it is or if its venomous. Imagine a snake you dont know, twisting and curling..what would you do? Grab it by the tail? And then what...you dont know if it needs water, shadow.. or nothing because its sick and about to die? Easy to play a hero behind the keyboard =)
