#4 The Isle of Man TT race has been going on since 1905...the bikes were not powerful enough to climb the hills until 1911. So its pretty fair to say they know exactly what they are doing. And remember something...nobody is FORCED to ride...they do so because they want to!

Holy cow. Motorsports is already dangerous, but this is instantaneously deadly, no margin for error.

Must be pretty annoying living alongside that road. having to mop all the blood and cadavers every time there's a race... :|

Its so sick. 132 mph laptime. I almost never drive that fast on my R1. Even on straights

there have been 242 rider deaths during official practices or races on the Snaefell Mountain Course (this number includes the riders killed during the Manx Grand Prix and Clubman TT races). The worst year for fatalities was 1970 when six riders lost their lives at the TT. Another racer died at the Manx Grand Prix later in the same year.

You can kind of compare it to an astronaut..you just sit on a fuel tank and an engine..and hope you did your calculation right ;P

#11 Not comparable in any way. The rider can make decisions to either accelerate or brake as needed
(and steer) instead of hoping someone else has calculated everything correctly.

Ha! Interesting.. How did he film this, so that the tunnel effect bikers see would appear here, unlike all the rest of these kind of videos I've seen.. Good video! Now I have that preconception of what the tunnel effect is.

I would have been more impressed if the table I have my laptop on would have jiggled to this video.
