You can't fool me w/ your science!
This is clearly voodoo magic.

So...if you moved the top container while the chain was moving, the loop would grow correspondingly bigger? So if you then moved the container to an infinite distance away...would the top loop of the chain be beyond infinity ?

#2 I think the effect is not lineair due to terminal velocity. It will reach it maximum falling point and the loop will be at maximum height. If the top container moves faster than this speed my assumption is that the loop will get smaller.

3:25 - if there is more chain it's heavier (is it?) and it's going quicker? Well, not really - speed of the free fall (neglecting air resistance) is defined by the gravitational acceleration (constant) not depending on the mass weight. The principle is similar to sucking the gas out of the car tank to a lower placed canister using your mouth and a tube. The form of the tube is here replaced by the construction of the chain which can not be bent very tightly. So your gas in the tube could also "jump" above your car if the tube is high enough and is filled with gas to the point below the first tank level.

#5 If there is more chain HANGING on the descend (not in contact with the ground) it is actually heavier (more chain, more mass).
The chain is faster when launched from higher because it has more travel to the ground. Then there is more time to accelerate from the G force. There is no free fall here. All links of the chain are interconnected.
I believe the loop only occurs because of the rigidity of this particular type of chain. You could not replicate this effect with another more common type of chain.

#2 you stated that if YOU moved it to infinity. That would have to put you in infinity. So then the chain is no longer in infinity because you are there with it. so now it is no longer in infinity.
