I like to see some thiefs near it, and fail. :D

Neat concept, but as they say "what one man can invent...another can circumvent" ( eventually). Still...anything that stops the scumbags from stealing your bike has to be good.

Seems unnecessarily complicated, as #1 says they can still get the tires, and you'll have a problem getting gears on that. Start over! :)

#5 But if you manage to get a locksystem on the bike wheels like some car wheels have, that would save alot of trouble.

*edit* and then the thief out of anger cuts/punctures/vandalizes the whole bike.

It's the lock on the end of the seat pole that's not anti theft :(|)

Why do they insist on selling bikes without a proper chain protection? The grease/oil or whatever from the chain squirts up on your pants. Good luck cleaning those after that. Never wear white pants without chain protection.

Can that bicycle frame handle all the force that a ordinary frame are exposed by. I have seen solid frames break sometimes when friends biked down from low things like a curb.

Unless that lock itself is something quite special there is no way this is actually unstealable, unfortunately locks can be picked and that one doesn't look all that special, but i guess a bike with a integrated locking system is still pretty cool

No bike is un-stealable, there is not a lock yet made that qualifies (nope, locks that destroy the content do not qualify either) All it takes is time and or ingenuity. There are plenty of excisting bike locks that accomplish what is needed without need to destroy structural integrity of the primary function, ie it is a bike and bike needs stiff and dependable frame. You put a good quality chain lock, like onGuard and you need powertools to get it off. Trust me, i'm a former bike thief. Just make sure that the lock itself is solid, it's no use to get good quality chain if you use 5€ lock. But no matter what, if i wanted your bike, i got it.. Uprooting lamp posts is not a problem..

As #1 said... they will still nick the tires, as they do where i live. So they might not be able to steal the bike... but a bike without wheels is about as useful as a stolen bike.

#13: Why stealing bikes? I mean, the value of a used bike is usually very small. Won't you make a better ratio money/risks by begging or selling quickly some gadgets onto the streets?
