It's not bigger faster or stronger that anything that already been built in the past. I'm not saying it's a shitty ship, there maybe some really cool, hi-tech features in it, if there are, I would've liked for them to mention it in the presentation. As is, the ship seems good enough and cheap enough for civilian applications.

well you can still see it with the naked eye.... if you want real stealth go for HMS Gotland, swedish stealth-sub that the US navy can't even find :P

To make a really bad joke...there are stealth planes too...Malaysia Airlines Flight 370..went invisible and was never seen again.

#4 Stealth in this usage means invisible to radar , not to eyesight.
The event you mentioned was ten years ago when the US Navy
"rented" the Gotland to help improve their capability of finding
diesel electric subs. They can find them now or just wait till they have
to surface for air. :D

#1, I'm sure the general idea behind it was exactly that. Anything that big and noisy, made out of aluminum and stainless, would have to be for swift (not exactly stealthy) insertion. I can't see the military wanting them. I'm thinking rich people who are in love with the 'cool' factor.

Just stick a malaysia airlines mh370 sign on the side & you can call anything stealth...
