Great skills , athleticism , and gymnastic abilities shown by everyone , but
the reason you don't see those impressive high spinning kicks in the UFC is because
you would get your butt kicked if you tried it.
Those high jumping and flying kicks were developed for knocking armed invaders on horses
out of their saddles,and I bet it worked pretty well.

#2 And now used because it looks awesome =) Nobody said its used in fighting today..and you cant compare UFC to any martial art. Kung fu vs Kung fu (for example) follows rules both fighters obay..UFC is raw in your face head smashing with just some basic rules..nobody would flick flac, salto, twist and spin to maybe land one kick in ufc or mma (Dont think any fighter is that tall that you would need any of those kicks). As you said..its skill/athleticsm and gymnastics. The martial art form of breakdance =)


(And yes..the wooden boards are fake showmanship boards..not to show power but accuracy)
