Most cars have shocks inside the springs, how shocking to find a cat in shock instead of a shock inside the spring :P

The jack perched on the 6x6 stump makes me pretty nervous. Are there any hydrolic lifts in Russia??

I hate to do this but I cry BS. They only way that cat got in there was the hole in the end which is totally blocked when installed. They must have put it in there ten 1/2 installed the spring then turned on the cam for the "Rescue". Any thoughts?

#16 seems like a lot of effort. My theory is that the cat wriggled in there when it was still a tadpole, grew first the front two legs then the back two legs and tail, until it became the full grown frog then at the stage before it turned into a caterpillar something went amiss at a genetic level. The apilla fell off (often happens) leaving the cat which fed on plankton from road spray and rust from the spring.

At night depending on where the vehicle was parked up, it's diet may have been supplemented with bounce-back frys and kebab from passing drunks plus the occasional slug or snail that climbed up the spring to spend the night. The high iron content caused the cat to grow at an accelerated rate trapping it in the coils until the nice Russian gentlemen freed it before grilling it gently over a hickory camp fire washed down with a glass of Vimto. Much more likely I think :*

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure myself. According to how a cat is built it can make past anything not narrower than its head. From the video I can see that at the lower end of the spring's end there's enough space for a cat's head to fit thru. From what I've seen there's pretty good chances that a similar distance can be found at the upper end of the spring. We also know that cats like warm places and judging from how the people in the vid dressed, it could've been really cold morning - so a kitten looking for a warm place for a shut-eye might had wound up in the spring when scouting the surroundings.
