Am I the only one completely unimpressed that all they did was drive it into a truck trailer? :|

It's a shit car, nothing special about it except for one thing - it's printed! The future is looking bright, at least in some way!

#2 I agree.

First of all, all the parts of the car isn't even printed but just taken from a real car.
Second thing is that it seems to be the most dangerous car in the world to drive, the material used in 3D-printing is usually some sort of polymer (plastic materials generally), it's hard but doesn't compress when exposed to heavy load, it just breaks instead.

#2 If they can print a whole car, without having to assemble any part, including mirrors, it will impress me :D

It didn't even have enough power to climb the ramp into the trailer....the guy had to push it by hand!
Now I want to see that car pass a safety inspection.

Printing should decrease the price and $18000 doesn't look cheap. Printing the bodywork isn't a big deal, unless it's carbon fibre, it's really not hard to rapid-prototype without printing (molding, pressing, anything basically). So... come back when you have something.

Step 1: Buy a 3D printer
Step 2: Print a 3D printer
Step 3: let your imagination take over
