Living in the 'real' hood, does say nothing about who you are. I lived in 'the hood' for 5 years, but that was because I had no reliable jobs or enough money to pay rent. Gangsters shooting around on every street corner is only in hollywood movies or in (fake)reality series. If you own nothing and want nothing, the 'gangsters' just leave you alone. They only mess with people who tend to do 'business' in their area. 99% of the people in 'the hood' are just poor, and have nothing to do.

I'm not really the one to discuss hood violence (never lived in one) but in this video the camera is clearly visible to prank ''victims'' so the reactions may not be the same as they would've been, if the camera was hidden.
I'm not justifying those other hood videos where they show violence. Of course there's a lot of editing done in those videos and they've left only violent reactions in. But still...many people glanced at the camera in this video.

Never watched any pranks-in-the-hood videos , so I have no idea why someone would make one.Sounds kind of dangerous to me.
But according to a 2012 study by the Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention revealed that in 2010 black youths committed six times more murders, three times more rapes, 10 times more robberies and three times more assaults than did their white counterparts.Blacks only make up about 13% of the US population, yet they commit well over 50% of violent and other crime. Ever heard of the "knock-out-game"? I would guess there might be some smidgen of truth to the "more violent" stories.
Just reporting the facts people.

#4 Wow! I was going to write this comment even before I noticed your name on that post. Not the first time I've been riled by your posts, as no doubt you'll recall.
Any chance that the people you're talking about are among the more disadvantaged in American society? Limited access to decent housing, schools, jobs, and constantly the object of negative attitudes (as in your post, maybe?) would make me mad.
Stats tell whatever story you care to make of them. They don't give a full picture, so quoting these isn't helpful.

#4 This statistics are racists and insulting as are you for repeating them. I would think there are other, deeper factors to consider then just skin color.
If we really have to talk black-white in context of violence: Let's keep in mind it was not blacks who oppressed whites for centuries and enslaved them. It was the other way around! Even though it might be cliché at this point, that truly says all about which RACE has more violence...

#5 & #6 The statistics are fact and all you have to do is watch news casts to see the evidence , but the statistics are only about crime in the US,not everywhere else in the world. But if I get stabbed by some thug I don't care if he had a bad education because he skipped classes all the time. So I guess each country has their own view of things.
Slavery is still going on in Africa and some parts of the middle east, and it ain't whites doing it.
Is it racist to state the fact that over 90% of rapes in Oslo are commited by Muslim men? Should we consider that ok since they see non-Muslim women as nothing but sex objects to be used as they want?

Black Americans were nearly four times as likely as whites to be arrested on charges of marijuana possession in 2010, even though the two groups used the drug at similar rates, according to new federal data.
Just this one statistic points to endemic racism in the Justice system.
It is only if you presume an equal playing field that you can take seriously crime statistics. That presumption is not warranted.
How much white-collar crime goes unpunished? How many of the faces of all those bankers that flushed the economy through dodgy dealings were black?
One RAND Corporation study found that convicted African-Americans were more likely than whites to go to prison. And their sentences were longer. “This disparity,” the study concluded, “suggests that probation officers, judges, and parole boards are exercising discretion in sentencing or release decisions in ways that result in de facto discrimination against blacks.” De facto means the discrimination exists in fact, but without legal authority. It may not be intentional.

#8 Maybe it was unintentional, but I'm not very happy to see you conflating my comment with #4 (& #7) racist rants, when my view was diametrically opposed to his. As was #6, who also objected.
#4 Saying that you're just quoting statistics doesn't make it any the less offensive. Your follow-up #7 just confirms it.

So just stating the facts is racist to you libtards now. I guess stating the fact that 66% of black babies born in the US are to un-wed mothers is racist too huh? I guess that if I said most Eskimos prefer seal blubber to beef that would be racist too, right?
I hire and fire blacks and whites equally if they do not perform their jobs as expected without race being considered.

#13 Good advice. Nevertheless, comments like these can't go unchallenged.
#12 Point by point.
"So just stating the facts is racist" If they're racist facts, yes.
"66% of black babies". And this has to do with violence in what way exactly? This comment alone shows your agenda more nakedly than your earlier posts.
"most Eskimos prefer seal blubber to beef that would be racist too". If posted in a racist context, as you have done, yes. And particularly if it's an undocumented statement.
"I hire and fire blacks and whites". God save us if you have hire & fire power over anybody...
"without race being considered". You'll pardon me if, having read your earlier posts, I take that statement with a pinch of salt.
To go slightly off-topic for a moment, your profile implies that you're from Dallas. With so much sun way down south you might want to consider keeping your collar turned up so that your neck doesn't get burned.

So now facts can be racist? So if someone dislikes arithmetic, then 2 plus 2 does not equal 4 because of that?
Two out of three babies being born without fathers being around to guide them certainly would have a negative effect
on their lives and might lead them into gang violence.
Try seeing things as they are instead of embracing a utopian concept that is not real ya' dreamer.
My profile does not say I am from Dallas and I am not. My avatar shows my favorite NFL team.
Your nic shows you to be a scary monster.....is that a racist statement against monsters?
