So, where does he get a new platinum wire for the lighter. Looks like he just messed up a nice antique lighter? I don't imagine platinum wire is cheap.

#4 #5 looks like platinum wire costs 400-1000 EUR per meter :S depending on what exact kind you'd need. You'd only need a few centimeters but I doubt you can order that little.
