Driver hogs outside lane in order to irritate and provoke driver following. Not clever.

#1 - Did you not see the driver with the camera over take the truck? Maybe that's why she didn't move over.
#2 - She passed a truck, was not speeding and was not slowing or brake checking the guy behind her, how was she being provocative? No excuse for the tailgater to behave like he did.
I'll probably get down voted into oblivion but tailgaters just really get on my nerves, if the person in front of you is annoying you so much that you get road rage then go around them and be on your merry way. There is no excuse for being this close, he was just trying to be a macho asshole.

#4. Yes, she passed a truck, and then the lane to her right was clear, but she remained in the outside lane, blocking the vehicle behind.

Lol, is this really tailgating? First, I agree with #1, #2 and #3 , get the **** out of the way. Second, #4, the driver had plenty of time to move into the right lane at the beginning of the video without being such a "macho asshole" as you call the "tailgater", which is instead what the driver is in my opinion.
Third, I may have a distorted perspective because here that would be driving at a safe distance. I guess Italian tailgating would be called something like "glue-driving". Seriously, I'm talking about 20-40 cm distance in highways, that's tailgating.

Great. Another one of these tailgater vids where we have no way of knowing if anything took place before this of how long it has been going on. I think #1 got it right. Right after passing the traffic on the right he should have pulled to the right at once. And #4 the person filming this was being provocative in driving just at the limit when the traffic he was passing was doing roughly the same speed. Instead he could have sped up a little bit or stayed behind and let the truck pass. And he is filming the whole thing which in my country is also illegal. Then when the truck passes him it appears that he speeds up and pulls away from the truck who then again have to pass him. I say there is wrongdoings on both sides.

In America its one car length for every 10 miles per hour. Any closer and its considered following too closely and wreckless endangerment. For all those defending the tailgater, and pointing blame at the lead car, who very rightly should have gotten over at the first chance; you should also keep in mind, two wrongs do not make a right. Had the tailgater been paying attention to the road instead of showing his ass he wouldn't have wrecked. Its on him for letting road rage get the better of him, justifiably angry or not.

I can kind off understand the guy driving in front. I always make sure not to get into the way of faster drivers, even when i am over the speedlimit myself. But once the driver in the rearmirror starts to behave like a total dick, i suddently have all the time in the world to change lanes back again.

Where I live someone who keeps left lane and does not give way for faster cars ( even if they horribly break speedlimit) can get fined up to $250 . It sometimes is a bigger fine than speeding, because it causes agressive behaviour and accidents like in the video.
But also, if someone drives 31mph to fast. they lose their license. doing that in a 20mph zone) or near schools they can lose the car( will be impounded and destroyed no possibility to redeem the car).

actualy if u look she overtakes the truck. then cant pull in as the tailgets pulls up alongside very fast. and then he crashs cos he tried to cut in front of her as there is a car in front of of him.
No matter the reason tailgating is dangerous. have some patience. if not, then look forward to seeing ur videos on here

There is no telling how long the woman had refused to move to the right lane before she started videoing things but for the first 45 seconds of this video there was still no one in the right lane that she was passing. She was playing the old "I'm doing the speed limit so screw you,I'm not moving over" game. The law states that vehicles must stay in the right lane unless overtaking slower vehicles and she did not do that. So she is a road-hog and the guy is stupid for losing control of his truck.

She showed the speedometer, she was within legal speed limit! All you people complaining she was blocking the looser behind her need to learn some traffic rules! If you are on the left lane and you are at the speed limit they can s*** your d*** !

20. martynbiker commented 8 years ago
NO-ONE here noticed she was driving ILLEGALLY? Using a phone either to Text OR Film is actually against the law if you are the one filming when driving!

21. BrahmaBull commented 8 years ago
#19 apparently it is you who need to learn some traffic rules. Legal speed limit or not you have to stay to the right when there is room for it. It is NOT up to all the drivers out there to play amateur police by keeping others from going a little too fast. In Denmark doing that is a fine and a mark in your drivers licence.

22. watsonlr commented 8 years ago
#19 It's "Slower traffic keep right" NOT "Slower traffic keep right unless you are doing the speed limit, then the heck with everyone else" You hold up that lane and you will get a ticket for obstructing traffic and the tailgaiter can have his own ticket for speeding.

23. sux2bu commented 8 years ago
#19 If that is the way you see it then I suggest that you get in the left (fast) lane and set your cruise control
on whatever the speed limit happens to be and wait for a cop who is just driving along at five miles over the limit ,like most other drivers do, to come up behind you and you hold your ground and not move over. Good luck in court when the cop pulls you over.

Looking at the number of lights and the surrounding businesses that they went through, this wasn't a freeway, so the fast lane/slow lane thing doesn't really apply. If the a-hole in the truck wanted to go that fast, he could have gone around. Was his fucking arm broken? Seriously. He was just another macho dickhead in a truck that should have bought a 370Z instead. I have these turds run up on me too, usually when I'm already over the limit and traveling at a safe distance behind another car. They are just so impatient they want me to climb up the ass of the guy in front of me so that they can arrive, literally, 1 second earlier to their destination. Sometimes I think about installing a sensor in the bumper hooked to strobes that I can throw on at a moments notice. That would get em off my ass in a hurry.
