[nerd]That's actually impossible. The pressure of the water breaks the air in to less energy consuming form, a bubble.[/nerd]

It's actually not that hard. I can do it too.

Hey Doubting tomas, and most_unique, it's not impossible. As others have said here, it's not against the laws of physics and it's not that hard to do. This guy does hold his breath for a long time though. And have a long hard think about why he's upside down, huh?

Most people can hold their breath if they really try for a min or so. So I can happily accept that a person can lie underwater for 1 min 14 sec as in the vid.
But there is no way that you can keep exhaling so many bubbles for that long. I'd say that after 20 sec he should have been out of air, but he just keeps going. And I cant see any air intake around his mouth. So unless there is something hidden under that mask of his, then I will lean towards this being fake.

Where the hell did he get that much air in his lungs ???? I mean the video is 1:14 ...plus the fact that he is blowing air out

I think 7 (tomas) is right. Look at his arms, if he really is upside down, he would to hold his body in position, but it seems there is no muscle tension. And what about his hair, ok its short, but it doesnt "feel" right for hair under water :-) And of course as other mention it, the air. when you blow a lot air out of your lungs, you shorten the time you can be under water. And this fellow doesnt seem to be an apnoe diver with trained lung volume :-)
but nevermind, nicly done !

ok forget my last post.
i looked at it again a couple of times... its no fake. watch the first few seconds, he is lying on the ground of the pool, and a person is standing over him filming. you can see a metal thing lying on his belly. a couple of times through out the video you can see the bubble is catched by the camera, so the cameraman is moving the cam to get rid of it. but how he is mananging the air is still unknown to me, guess its just take a lot of practice.

I got it...
The man isnt up side down, he is on the bottom, looking up, as MarekX said..
and the camera man is on the edge, thats why the guy is on that position, he couldnt be as close to the edge with other position...
you can see the bubbles coming up, as do the rings... directly to the camera..
one little bubble even get stuck on the camera, that means, the camera is pointing down..
the thing on his belly is only the weigth, something to keep him at the bottom
thats about the scenario... i may try it on the next summer (its winter on Brazil)
keep up!

Thats not the bottom the camera catch.. thats de pool's wall (lateral), its even brighter
and, have you ever tried to make a bubble go straight forward on a pool? (not up)

About you guys (or girls) who think it's impossible to hold your breath for that long, it's not. The world record for the longest held breath underwater is a little over 14 min. So I think this guy can do the bubbles for that long.
