Yeah people get sad or angry watching this... but i wonder how many remember that feeling next time they have to deside to pay that little extra to improve these animals lives.

Quantities grow and prices decrease. the only way to do that is by degrading quality of the product. in electronics and vehicles it means they die younger. but in live stock it means they suffer more and die younger.

The tail snipping reminded me of how they forcefully circumcise children without their approval. It's a cruel world we live in, regardless of what type of beast you are.

#2 Well as I'm sure you know Walmart is ASDA in the UK. Makes you wonder how different the treatment of these poor creatures are than in the USA. I do find it staggering that the chairmen of companies like these can stand up in front of their shareholders at the AGM's knowing that this is part of where their profits come from. The first part is what I'd expect - a throwaway supposedly-comic shrug. Did you actually watch the video? Anybody with any humanity or compassion couldn't write that comment after seeing it.
The second is spot-on; genital mutilation is unspeakably vile, though why you apply it only to the Muslim world I have no idea - an unwillingness perhaps to criticise the large US Jewish population?
And religion aside, cruelty inflicted on any living creature is ugly and shames humankind.

#10 FGM is not a muslim problem but an african one. It is practiced by the majority of christians in egypt and by erithrean jews as well (so much for doing some research). Somehow your compassion with these girls seems kinda opportunistic to justify some islamophobia, especially in the light of your lack of empathy with other living beeings you seem to be so proud of.

Your "research" is lacking.

FGM is practiced by some Coptic Christians in Egypt, particularly in Upper Egypt, as a matter of pressure from and assimilation to the Muslim majority. Its roots goes back to Pharaonic times. FGM has no religious textual backing in Christianity (as it has in Islam) , or any support by the Coptic Church. In fact, the Coptic Church clearly and openly opposes the practice of FGM and finds it contradictory to divine values.(as do I) It is definitely tied to Islam and almost one-third of the world's Muslim population resides in Africa , so it is also an African problem.
Islamophobia is just a word made-up by those seeking to silence others about radical Islam.
