Amazing river surfing
Why go to the beach if there are waves on a local river?

Go Munich, it;s your birthday! (850 years)
This is the Eisbach river in my hometown! This water comes straight
from the glaciers in the alps (hence the name) and it runs undergound
through a tunnel system through the city only to fly out at high pressure at this
opening of the English garden (which is on of the largest inner city parks in the world).
btw the sign says: Surfing and bathing is forbidden!" Nice try at translating though!

The complete translation would be this:
Surfing and bathing forbidden!
*Unfortunately*Danger of life because among others
-) built in "watertechnical" installations* and
-) dangerous riverside currents ...
*(what ever that is... worst thing i could imagine is something like a strainer/filter or some under-water canals which you could be sucked in)
In my opionen it looks really great and somehow i would like to give it a try ... but one thing that i sure admit is that i would have never tried it before any1 else did it ...
Water > all other elements, but also more dangerous than the others together ;P
lol

there might be some wave brakers installed which should protect the riverbed from pounding tons of water upon it.
might look like this normally

I have to say, mountain water is freezing; those guys must be shivering up a storm.

There is a river in England that surfers use on high tide. the sea level rises an incredible 20 meters pushing big waves up river
