Laser Weapon System (LaWS)

The Laser Weapon System or LaWS is a directed-energy weapon developed by the United States Navy. The weapon was installed on the USS Ponce for field testing in 2014. In December 2014 the United States Navy reported the LaWS system works perfectly, and that the commander of the USS Ponce is authorized to use the system as a defensive weapon.

OK, so now the enemy will have to install mirrors on all their anti-ship missiles, it would probably take them a couple of months to do that, so we're ahead... for now!

No automatic targeting? or firing ?
#3 : If the nose of your missile is a mirror, what about aerodynamics ?
... transparent nose with a mirror inside, maybe...

The cool thing about it is that it only costs about two dollars or less to fire it.
Very economical to use.
