Bill Gates drinks water that used to be human poop

Bill Gates recently got to check out the Omniprocessor, an ingenious machine designed and built by Janicki Bioenergy, which turns human waste into water and electricity. In places without good waste treatment plants, it could be a real game-changer.

The problem here is the amount of NOx ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NOx ) and other toxins released after burning in the furnace. Trust me when I tell you that the whole question is in the furnace/electricity and not the water. I was intimately involved with such technologies a while back in Europe. There are way more simple and more clean ways of making pure water. These guys use a simple rotary furnace and just are lucky to be picked up for funding while their tech most likely produces highly toxic gases.

Why can't a sanitation system from the developed world work in a developing country? Sounds like someone wants funding for his special system, nothing more.

Steam-distilled water is not really suitable for drinking because of its low ph of about 5.2 unless minerals are added to it for taste and to counter the acidity of the water. In areas where water is scarce there is usually a lack of nutritious food available which can lead to the body lacking in important minerals that could be obtained from a healthy diet.
On gallon jugs of distilled water there is no mention that it could be used for drinking. It is usually used in steam mops and clothes irons.
But distilled water is certainly better than no water at all and mineral dispensers could be added to this contraption too.

That is the product of people with little real world experience but a lot of cash.
Can anybody tell me what's wrong with this? Why do people have no access to safe sanitation or drinking water? Yup, that's right. Because they can't afford the equipment. So how exactly are they going to afford this or afford to pay the entrepreneur for the input and output of this equipment? Not to mention it requires infrastructure for input and output. Pretty unrealistic and naive.

Doesn't this sound more logical? http://www.ted.com/talks/michael_pritchard_invents_a_water_filter

@3 the water is ideal for crops because the machine also produces furtilizer. and that is a huge game changer.it is not hard to add nutricions to the water but getting the polution out is.

@4 remember bill gates is one of the richest man in the world, he donated half his fortune to charity and done a great deal to help thirth world country's food medication etcetc. he will probly support this project to bring it to where it is needed. he probly not aiming to gain a profit from this project.

#10 That water would be fine for crops if this machine was capable of producing the thousands of gallons needed for irrigation, but is is not. There is only a limited amount of moisture in sewer sludge.
I do sgree that Bill Gates probably funds much of this project.

#10 and #11 It didn't say he would install it. It said an entrepreneur would and would benefit financially.
Even if he did fund it, would he also fund the infrastructure needed? Such as sewer system for collection and electric system for output so it could be sustained?
