Anyone who's had experience with any mechanical diggers and understands the hydraulic movements can tell this isn't fake.
I dont think its that skillfull either, these machines are so much easier to operate than a lot of you seem to think, it just takes a gentle touch on the controls and its really easy.

I have done something similar with a hair brush. The machine he is operating is called an excavator or trackhoe (in the U.S.). The spoon/brush has to be glued to the bucket (it's called a bucket, not a blade) in order for this to work. Still, a decent trick and a cool idea for a video.
