Why do people hurt one another? Put yourself in another person shoes before you decide to hurt them and think would I want someone to do the same to me. What idiots believes, that any God or religion will protect them or want them to hurt someone else for the sake of religion or that God. Idiocracy!

Only with love for one another whether enemy or friend, we can continue to grow and have a chance at survival as a human race.

She is an amazing person, giving back strength to people who have been hurt on purpose or by accident.

Very nice. Only see one problem with this method, if they go to the beach, for example, and get tanned, won't the scars become visible again?

But even if that happens, it's a small price to pay. :)

#3 In the UK? Oh please....even if they did, what sentence they would get would be so derisory as to be meaningless, what's needed are sentences that actually reflect the severity of the crime...until that happens there is literally nothing to deter people. It makes me ashamed to be British.

#5 If you go with the perspective of harsher penalties, how are you any better then the people that hurt you? I am not saying I would myself forgive and not want punishment, but how are we suppose to grow if we take revenge, we become no better then the people that hurt us.

I never understood how in certain countries the death penalty is given and the affected people come to watch the perpetrator get killed. Once that individual gets killed your anger doesn't go, it stays.

Forgiveness and education is the way forward. The beautiful thing about this women is her tattoo method allows the individual to start to feel better about themselves and return to forgiving the perpetrator and ultimately forgiving yourself.

Trust me when I say this: Human race is designed this way. We will always hurt each other. It sounds harsh and cruel but it's just the way we are. I sincerely hope we could one day live together without prejudices.

Nowadays scars are something people consider ugly. Long ago scars were a sign of a great warrior(that actually lived through a battle!).

#5 Cat 3 GBH (as this appears to be) carries a sentence of 9-12 years. I'm not sure a longer sentence would make much of a difference either in rehabilitation or in deterring offences.

#7 Indeed! It would require quite a few generations to dilute the "tournament species" within our gene pool. ;)

#6 Actually I see the severe sentences as a deterrent for others and not as a revenge, what's done is done let's just hope no one else is going to repeat that error. Although I don't agree with death penalties too, first based on logic - the system is made and operated by people so as such it isn't error free and once the person is dead what is the point in proving them not guilty; and second - it's a human life, it's not ours to take!

Such pussies- bad people are not good people just waiting to come out, they are hardwired to be bad. Bad people do bad things and should be removed, period. If any of you wimps were in charge of a segment of the population and it was your job to keep them safe (like your children) the first thing you'd do (if you wanted to be effective) is to 1) run the person out of town 2) quarantine them at considerable cost to the resident population 3) kill them if the act warranted it. The last option would be for such animals that you did not want to risk repeating the offense on someone else. It's that simple.

On topic of the video, wow brilliant idea.

Children have the capacity for perhaps the cruelest and meanest acts against their peers. This behavior can be reinforced or negated through bad or decent parenting respectively. If the children that did this are "clean" from a neuropsychological perspective (aka, they are not prone to aggression due to a particular atypical brain development), then the full blame lies with their parents.

To all potential future parents out there, don't have children unless you want to contribute to the world positively. There are already 7 billion monkeys around and we don't need any more throwing poo at each other. Use condoms unless you are willing to put the effort into creating a decent individual. Don't pollute the earth with the human trash you generate.
