Argh! The end scared the hell out of me!

Anyways, too bad there isn't some sort of scale to see how thick it is also (because we can see that it is pretty long ... )

@nooitaf
Well, as all other snakes they have to get hold of you first right? He/she might have been trying to knock the camera guy unconscious before he/she squeezed the life out of him.. >:)

#8 More like scare the life out of him.

#3 I'd guess that its about 4-5 inches (10.2-12.7cm for those of you who think in metric) thick.

Boas usually bite first if they feel threatened.

Looks like a Python to me. With all the constrictors species they bite first then kill the prey, and trust me it hurts like hell. From what i saw it looked like a warning strike not a feeding strike. I keep big snakes and if you handle then the best ways of getting them off you if they bite are to pour strong alcohol either down the throat or in the eyes. This does not hurt the snake but it does make them let go :) it was not the snakes fault it struck it was the persons.

OK.. strong alcohol down a snake's throat is a complete killer and barbarism, for the sake of your snakes please don't ever do that =)

Not trying to be smart-ass.. just don't do that.. with a sense of smell as complex as snakes', it would be outrageous to assume that it isn't utterly hellish for the snake.. not to mention poisoning its gastric tract..

I just peed my pants a little (joking)... but this video did scare the crap out of me last week when I received it in my email.

Reply to moskwiz I was on about a small amount of a alcohol and its not barbaric so stop being dramatic. Some people bend the snakes tail back to get them off, which can break the backs of the snake. It makes the snake release without damage. Next time either you get bit by a giant snake or your snakes bite eachother try another way without any damage to you or the snakes. Trust me it does not hurt them and they let go pretty sharpish

It´s an Anakonda.
They grow up to 29 feet and 25 inches across and the longest one found was 30 feet and a half and 44 inches across
