Why can small girls be so scary to a grown man?

#1 because you leave yourself vulnerable to their presence by underestimating their size and fall into the clutches of their darkness as they whittle away at your soul.

Am I the only one to think that this is wrong? I don't know whether the little girl was put up to this, though her smile near the beginning certainly makes it look that way, but to encourage a small child to hold a knife to a doll's face looks like a good way to traumatise her. You certainly don't film it.

#3 I agree with you that it looks scary and worrisome. *BUT* don't forget that we see the world with adult eyes! That means we also see *her* action with adult eyes and interpret based on our adult experiences - that's where the possibility for severe misunderstanding lies.

It's a thin line - this is the kind of thing that could indicate past experience (cause for worry), or it could be something she genuinely just invented 100% on her own without any harmful undertone at all (our misunderstood interpretation is what makes this clip funny to us).

Average adults have no way of discerning between the two situations. It sucks, but that's the way it is. That's also why it's so difficult to evaluate childrens' statements as witnesses.

I'm sorry but this behaviour and should not be mocked or laughed at. Whould the parents be laughing if she was doing this to a little brother or sister?

I agree with # 3 & #6 , this IS wrong ! This little girl will have ongoing psychological issues from this type of behavior that was encourage by the adult recording this.

Just another reason Some people should not have children or be allowed to supervise them.
