Tough crowd...I thought it looked cool. Not everything has to be practical to be awesome. In fact sometimes the reason it is awesome, is directly the result of how impractical it is, and yet still works. A Rube Goldberg machine is a perfect example of that.

#1 since time is given by numbers => this is nothing but a digital clock.
An interesting next step should be an analog clock (displaying clock hands) :)
