Talking shit about that young black guy who is obviously in basic training and has most likely never fired a rifle in his life is just a cheap shot. It might turn out that he is not warfighter material and ends up with a clerical-type job,but at least he had the guts to sign-up and give it a try. :|

#6 there is a thing called "common sense" and it appears that it's less and less common as time goes by ( there is no training in the world that can teach you how to use it if you don't have it already )
on the other hand, maybe he is just playing dumb hoping for clerical-type job

#6. "...but at least he had the guts to sign-up and give it a try."

On the other hand, all too often the rash, inexperienced or just plain stupid will attempt things that wiser people are more cautious of. 'Guts' probably doesn't even enter into it.

I love these comments from a bunch of people that have no clue....

This is early in the morning after very little sleep, under very cold conditions, and who knows what other mental stress this man has been put under.

This is done ON PURPOSE. The US military teaches it's recruits to operate under very stressful and not ideal conditions in order to simulate the very real combat environment that they may find themselves in.

This is why the US has the most powerful military in the world. We train our soldiers for TOUGHNESS!

#9 You had me right until the last sentence and then... Not so much.

ALL armed forces, good or bad, train for toughness, not just the U.S.

#9 sure, that is why more us soldiers die from suicide than in combat

#9. God only knows what regiment/Unit that was, but I doubt very much that's a regiment, such as 39, 42, or 45 Royal Marine Commando, 1st or 2nd parachute regiment, or US regiments such as the Seals, Marines etc etc....and I'm judging that on just how incredibly POLITE the instructor was...in just about any other regiment he'd have had his nuts not so surgically removed.

#9, "This is why the US has the most powerful military in the world. We train our soldiers for TOUGHNESS!"

Or maybe this is the reason:

"The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) measures annual military spending for most of the world's armed countries. According to SIPRI, the U.S. spent $618 billion on its military last year, more than three times the $171 billion budget of second place China."

#16 "the U.S. spent $618 billion on its military last year, more than three times the $171 billion budget of second place China." Yep , and because of that fact you have a comfy little country to live in, safe in the knowledge that you have strong allies that can help when needed. Much of the US budget is spent supporting our allies. Every hour in 2014 taxpayers in United States paid $1.33 million for Foreign Military Assistance.
Would you like it better if Putin's military budget was three or four times larger? Russia is increasing their military spending and Russia now spends 4.1% of its GDP on its military, exceeding that of the U.S. for the first time in over a decade.

#17 impressive amount, and how much from that amount is spent on veterans with shell shock? or shall i say "ptsd"?
we can say that usa cares about it's "allies" as much about it's veterans, that is why so many of them die at home, by their own hand
not to mention how broad term "allies" is for usa, as you said in one of your comments, if supporting militant islamists serves the purpose, usa will do it ( and you don't have any problem with that )

he is probly so exhausted from the training that his body goes in full automatic mode and his brain is in a hybernation state.
would like to see some people here, saying he is dumb, in a training where they trying to break your body and spirit.
Picture of sux2bu67 achievements

-1 20. sux2bu commented 9 years ago

#18 None of that amount is spent on veterans ,there is about $154 billion more that covers them, and that is still not enough in my opinion. Vets should get everything they need to get back into civilian life.
The Mujahideen fighting the Soviets were not motivated by radical Islam like the current bunch of murderers are. They were fighting to keep the Soviets from controlling Afghanistan. The UK , Egypt , Saudi Arabia , and even the People's Republic of China were also supporting the Mujahideen.
Try as you might you just can't make your point stick. :'(
US haters gonna hate,no cure for it.

#20 i have nothing against usa mate, but if usa and russia have differences to settle, they don't need to go through may backyard, in fact there are much shorter routes if you look at the map

"mujahideen is the plural form of mujahid, the term for one engaged in jihad. in english usage, it refers to guerrilla type military outfits of radical islamists, specifically in reference to the taliban in their role as guerrilla force in the soviet war in afghanistan."

That is correct, and like I said , they were not motivated to try to dominate other countries and force Islam on the masses like the ISIS murderers are doing. OBL came out of that era and it is a shame Bill Clinton did not allow the military to take him out when they had him in their sights.

+1 #17 Love how the Europeans always like to compare how much the US spends on our military while spending their "military" budget on social programs knowing the US has their back. Pussies.

Without the US, world order would look a lot different with Russia and China at the top. How'd that work for the world?! LOL

While #9 was a bit overzealous in his declaration of military superiority, his initial points were pretty spot on. Sleep deprivation is often part of the training, and this guy is showing signs of that. Add the fact that it looks frigging cold, you can be fairly certain he was not exactly operating at full capacity. This would also explain why the Drill Instructor was being so nice about it.

#27 YOU certainly don't "remember". History lesson time...The US military never lost any major battles with the NVA or Vietcong even though they were heavily supported by the Soviet Union and Communist China. The the pull-out in 1973 of all combat forces left the South Vietnamese in control of their country with the promised support of the US Congress. When the Democrats gained control of Congress, riding high on anti-war support from much of the US population, they stopped the supplies and support to South Vietnam which led to the doom of that country. Politicians controlled the war from Washington instead of Generals in the war theater.
ps jungle bunny is a ethnic slur used against black people, not Asians.

#29. Yet another patriotic flag-waving American perpetrating the oft-heard myth that "The US military never lost any major battles with the NVA or Vietcong". Seems like you're the one that needs to study history, but don't look too close, just in case it discolours your preferred view of events. Try this book: "About Face" by Col. David Hackworth.

and: " Politicians controlled the war from Washington instead of Generals in the war theater." Really? Sounds like a real effective fighting machine you have there. LOL. Either way you look at it, you got whooped good and proper and high tailed it back to the safety of the Homeland. Heeee - hah! :D

PS. Where I come from Jungle Bunny has a different meaning, so what are you gonna do little dicky boy, sue me? LOL.

BTW, love your latest avatar. It's just so..... manly! ROFLMAO. :D

#30 gay boy, A report by the inspector general of the Army found that Colonel Hackworth was derelict in his duties and had "acted without honor." General Abrams and other top officers moved to court-martial him, but eventually allowed him to resign with an honorable discharge. He had changed from a war-fighter to a war protester.
He ran a bordello and a massage parlor to keep his men happy and relatively protected from a virulent strain of syphilis , so he was not all bad. :D
Personally I never thought going to war in Vietnam was a good idea but Presidents JFK and LBJ saw it differently. :(

Oh yea ,can you name any major battles that the enemy won? TET Offensive,nope...Khe Sanh, nope
Most engagements were hit-and-run attacks that caused greater damage to the VC.

BTW It is usually a dude that picks a pic of a girl to be his avatar....just saying. :D

#27 Things are often a mess no doubt, not going to debate you over Vietnam other than when the war is fought by the General it gets done (Kuwait?). All I'm saying is with China and Russia at the helm, I can hear them now bending England over and saying "hey boy, squeal like a pig" as well as much of Europe.
